Make your Dream List

As New Year approaches, what better time to make your Dream List!  And I have the perfect journal to help you capture and record your dreams, wishes, resolutions, and more!

Dream List Media has these beautiful Photo Journals perfect for anyone on your list this holiday season!  At only $16.95, this journal starts off with pages set aside to make your actual "Dream List" with a corresponding "due date".  What would you put on your list?  Me...a big one would be to travel to Ireland, my husband's would be to walk the Appalachian trail.  A smaller one would be to go see an opera (which comes to town all the time but I never go).  So many dreams and so little time (and money) so get organized with your Dream List journal and make them all come true!

There's also room for photos and plenty of writing as you record your track towards accomplishment of said dreams!  And finally, in the back of the journal, there's contact pages, perfect for recording travel agencies (you know, for my trip to Ireland) or whomever else you need to remember contact information for that will help you achieve your dreams!  Give it as a gift this year, and buy one for yourself while you are at it.  My list is growing everyday and I can not wait to start working towards my goals!

Help your dreams come true

MARYSVILLE — It’s her version of a bucket list, but basically the same idea, said Melissa Borghorst, who believes Walt Disney when he said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”

A resident of Bellingham, Borghorst will lead a mini-workshop, “What’s on Your Dream List?” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at The BookWorks, 1510 Third St. in Marysville. She wants to inspire Marysville residents and neighbors to do what they need to do to make their dreams come true.

“I believe that writing down your dreams helps a lot in making them come true,” Borghorst said. “I’ve had a dream list for years,” she said. She creates journals specially for that purpose. “Nothing exhilarates the soul more than accomplishing your hopes, your dreams, and your heart’s desire,” Borghorst said.

She will guide visitors to BookWorks bookstore through the steps from her new Dream List Photo Journal series. “You’ll walk away inspired and enthused, with your own dream list in hand,” she said.

Borghorst is on a mission to inspire people around the world to follow their dreams and celebrate their accomplishments. She sends this message through her Dream List Photo Journals and motivational workshops.

For further information, please email info@dreamlistmedia.com, call 360-676-6718, or visit www.dreamlistmedia.com.

This is the author’s first time to visit BookWorks, although she is familiar with Marysville. “Marysville is the place I’ve often stopped on my journey to and from visiting family in Seattle. The workshop is directed toward teens and up. The workshop should appeal to college students as well people planning their retirement.

For information call Mary Burns at BookWorks, 360-659-4997.

Make 2009 Your Year to Shine

by Melissa at 12/1/2008 8:47:00 AM

As the curtains close on 2008, we are reminded of the New Year looming around the corner.  It’s that all important time of year to create our New Year’s resolutions.  But instead of your typical resolution, to lose weight or vow to cut down to one latte per week, I propose a new and more exciting concept.  Why not give 2009 a theme?  The year to dream.

Life whizzes by, full of errands to run, work to finish, and for some, kids to raise.  Dreams are pushed to the next year, with the intention of pursuing them when there’s more time or money, or whatever excuse you tell yourself.  A year becomes five years, and then ten and twenty.  If you’re not careful, life will pass you by in a flash.  So whether you’re fresh out of college and just beginning your life, right smack dab in the middle of life, or retired and looking back on your years, now is the time.  It’s time to start making your dreams come true!

To learn how to make your dreams come true in 2009, read more from my most recent article in Aspire Magazine.  Click on the following link: http://www.aspiremag.net/pdfs/decjan08/Make2009YourYearToShine.pdf.
